Gabriel is the youngest member of the De Ruiz Family, one of the most respected in their country of Spain. His parents, Adan and Marianela, were once traveling Musketeers who fought for what was right. They halted their travels when they made the decision to settle down and raise a family.

The young man had always thought that his parents were the perfect role models, always giving him positive influences. He also looked up to his older brother Fernando, who to him was also like a best friend.

Gabriel and Fernando both trained with the Rapier and the way of the Musketeer throughout their childhood. Once in a while, they would get stubborn and jump into fights without thinking. Gabriel would often train with his family. Through this, he gained great honor and pride for his family.

One day, when the boys were older (Gabriel being 18 and Fernando being 21 by then), Adan and Marianela decided to go on their adventures once again. Days before they left, a thought lingered in Gabriel's mind...the future. What would become of him and his brother?

Adan and Marianela mentioned to the boys about their future. When they die, their fortune would be passed to them. Arranged marriage was also considered in their futures as well. They haven't planned a bride for Gabriel yet, but upon their return, they had hoped to speak with the parents of their cousin Emera, to arrange a possible marriage between her and Fernando in order to continue the family fortune and honor.

Days later, they take their leave. Their final wish would be one that would always linger in Gabriel's mind.

Weeks later, the tragic news of Adan and Marianela's deaths reached the brothers. The next five years would be a grim time for Gabriel as his brother vowed revenge against their parents' killer and trained harder than ever.

Soon, Fernando felt that he was ready. In Gabriel's dismay, he was told to stay back and he would be watched by their childhood friend Eduardo. Gabriel understood that Fernando didn't want to lose the only immediate family member he had left...but what about Gabriel? Why was it that he may possible be the only to lose his brother.

Days after Fernando's depature, Gabriel left Barcelona while Eduardo wasn't looking. Traveling with him was their cousin Emera, who wanted to help out as well. Together, they would find Fernando and avenge Adan and Marianela's deaths.
