Story

Michi could never forget that day... ten years ago, word spread around of a
plague that had swept over a small village not too far from her clan's hideout. Michi was immediately heartbroken over
the news... her father lived in that village along with her older brother and his family. Even if Michi's clan did allow
her to see her family, the people outside the village were advised to stay away until the plague died down.
It wasn't long before the plague was gone, but it had taken countless lives in it's
wake. When allowed, Michi traveled to the village. The corpses of those who died in the plague were immediately
burned in fear of the plague starting anew. Michi's only hope now was to find her family alive.
After a few days of searching, Michi found her first relative alive... her nine-year-old
niece, Keida, who was staying with neighbors who had survived the plague. It immediately occured to Michi that both
her brother and sister-in-law were killed.
Although she had lost her parents, Keida remained brave, crying only very few times.
Michi noted this as she took her niece's hand and lead her away from the house. From there, Michi began looking for
her father as even Keida wasn't sure what happened to him.. After a few days, however, Michi knew that it was no use.
Accepting her father's fate, Michi returned to her clan. She took Keida in tow with the intention of raising her.
Keida would grow up to become a member of the Ruby Dragon Clan, and she would become
one of the best in the clan. Michi was always proud of her accomplishments, especially since she had been a big part
of her niece's training. The only thing Michi knew that had to be worked on was Keida's hot-headedness. Michi
had been the same way while training in the clan, and she realized that her niece may have a long way to go before she would
overcome her flaw.
