Some time ago, the demon lord Heru came across a strong warrior who was out to kill him. The two had fought in a battle that lasted for days. Heru was quite impressed by this man. Not only were his fighting skills impressive, but he was able to battle the demon longer than any other who had tried to take him down in the past.

Despite that, however, Heru was able to overpower the man, and killed him when the opportunity came. Afterwards, however, Heru began to regret killing him, despite the fact that the man tried to slaughter him. He realizing that he had the potential to join his growing army.

When The Maiden heard of this, she offered Heru to raise him from the dead with her sorcery. A full-bodied armor was found, and the two bathed it in the blood of other slain warriors, turning it's color into a permanent red. They placed the armor on the dead man.

Using their combined powers, Heru and The Maiden were able to wake the man from the dead. This new being only lived to serve Heru, and kill those who crossed him. With no memories of his past, he became known as Plague.
