Tina grew up mostly being raised by her mother. Her father was a pirate who always traveled the high seas. Although Tina has been exposed to much negativity against pirates by those she knew, she admired her father anyways. The thought of all those adventures and the many battles intrigued Tina, and she wanted to become a pirate herself. After her father was killed, she did just that.

For a while, it was hard for Tina to find a ship to help manage. This was all simply because she was a woman, and it was believed that any women aboard a ship, no matter how capable of a pirate she is, was bad luck. After a while, Tina decided to take matters into her own hands. She managed to create her own crew full of women, all who were rejected to become pirates just like her. They all proved themselves to one group of all-male pirates by besting them in a fight, and stealing their ship. Since then, Captain Tina and her all-female crew have been sailing the high seas.

Captain Tina and her crew build themselves a reputation, and taught other pirate groups not to underestimate them. Captain Tina even called herself the Pirate of Love, not because she wants to spread love, but to give a false flag to any new enemies who tried to raid her ship.

She is well known by other pirates to be quite hyperactive, especially when she's over-the-top happy. This is especially noticeable when she is around Hawk, a pirate she once almost married not too long ago. On the outside, she likes to annoy him by chasing him around the sea. The truth is, however, she still holds a torch for him, and she knows that, deep down, he still holds feelings for her, too.
