For as long as she could remember, Hoshiko was a demon of the underworld. Destiny had placed her amongst the Demon Kings, a group of warriors who would one day invade Earth and destroy it's inhabitants. From there, they would rule the world and make a new oasis for themselves.

Hoshiko served the Demon Kings for many years. She always served dutifully, never failing in her missions and always succeeding. Hoshiko also held high regard to her leader and master, Hisao, during those years, and she always admired him.

However, that all changed when her own brother, Akito, fought the right to become leader of the Demon Kings. He was victorious, and Hoshiko could only watch as her master's body disintergated into ashes. She was heartbroken by the turn of events, but knew she had to move on.

It was no surprise to Hoshiko when Akito's way of running things were much different from what she was used to. She tried to grow used to it, but one turn of event did change that... when Hisao was leader, he had planned to promote Hoshiko as his second in command. Everyone including Akito were aware of this fact. Rather than fulfill his master's wishes however, Akito promoted another, Lizaya, to that position, a move Hoshiko never understood.

Months later during a mission, Hoshiko came across an enemy who was injuried during a fight. She stood over him for a moment, watching him squirm in pain. As she did, she felt something in her heart that she never had before... sympathy. She tended to the man's injuries, helping him recover. This action was witnessed by one of Akito's generals, and reported.

Immediately, Akito accused his own sister for treason, and ordered his generals, including Lizaya, to kill her. Hoshiko was forced to flee. With no where else to go, Hoshiko came across a portal that would lead to Earth. It was heavily guarded by deities, who refuse to let just anyone use it as they pleased. Hoshiko knew she had to find the best way possible to get through the portal. Although it broke her heart to do so, she offered them her sword, a valuable item made of gold... it had been Hisao's last gift to her. The guards accepted this, and allowed her through the portal, taking her to Japan.

After some wandering, Hoshiko began living in an Okiya house in a secluded town, where she became a Geisha. This particular Geisha house was quite different from the norm... they serve to entertain their clients, but they are also protectors of the villages they lived in.

Although she now lives a peaceful existence, Hoshiko knows that, one day, the Demon Kings will eventually escape the underworld and wreck havoc upon the land. When that happens, Hoshiko would be ready to face them, especially Akito.
