Growing up, Eduardo was the childhood friend of brothers Fernando and
Gabriel De Ruiz, who were sons of one of the most well respected family in the country. As a teenager, he and his family
moved up into a country area North of the city of Barcelona.
Not long after, illness took his father's life, which left the family
struggle with money. After a while of this, Eduardo soon found himself stealing from markets in order for he and his
family to survive for food. He then would steal money and other goods in order to get by.
When he mother found out what was going on, she begged him to discontinue
robbing others, but Eduardo wouldn't hear of it and left the house for the day. However, when he returned, the house
was empty, his mother and younger sister long gone. He would later learn that the villagers ran them out after learning
of his ways.
Some years later, Eduardo learned horrible news of his two childhood
friends...their parents, during a mission, were brutually murdered. This, for the first time since leaving with his
family, returned him to Barcelona.
Eduardo found himself doing more good since his father's death.
He helped the brothers cope with their parents' death. He soon found it in his heart to redeem his past ways and later
joined a resistant army that guarded the city.
Five years later since Eduardo returned, Fernando felt ready to seek
vengeance against the person who killed his parents. Before he left, he asked Eduardo to watch over his brother Gabriel
and his young cousin Emera while he was gone since it would be some time before his return. Eduardo promised his old
friend that he would do so.
