Long ago, The Maiden was born with sorcery power, along with her twin sister Alora. As their mother was also a sorceress,
they were part of a cult who practiced the sorcery arts. The sisters themselves were highly admired as their powers were much
more advanced at such a young age. All kept themselves away from outsiders, knowing that they would be accused of witchcraft.
The Maiden had lived a content life until tragedy struck. When she was a teenager, she and her mother had traveled parts of
Europe in search of magic herbs (her sister and father had stayed behind). An outsider had witnessed her mother use her powers.
A mob had captured the two, and The Maiden was forced to witness her mother die at their hands. In retaliation, The Maiden
used her powers to kill all those present in the killing before escaping.
She never stopped on her tracks until the
day she found refuge in the abandoned Cathedral of Revana. While there, The Maiden learned of Revana, who was a sorceress
herself and was known as The Goddess of Chaos. For years, The Maiden worshiped Revana, praying everyday in hopes of learning
the dark arts.
During this time, she was reunited with Alora, who searched for her after her father's passing from
illness. The Maiden expressed her desire to raise her own army and bring order to the world. Alora had supported her in her
decision and believed that she would one day fulfill her wish.
One day, in a rare instance, the Goddess Revana herself
answered her long-time prayers. For years afterwards, Revana taught The Maiden many of the dark arts of sorcery. Her teachings
resulted in The Maiden's skin and hair to go white, but she still retained her youth and beauty (she, along with her sister
and mother, were granted eternal youth at birth).
After her teachings were complete, Revana had one wish for The Maiden...
she hoped for her to use her powers to twist and turn the world as she saw fit. As a gift, she gave her a powerful weapon
known as the sickle. In gratitude, The Maiden promised to fulfill her wish. Even if it took hundreds of years, The Maiden
would change the world, and rule it with an iron fist.
