While out hunting for food, Reena was trapped in a terrible storm. She lost all orientation, and could not find her way back to her tribe. She wandered for days, eventually giving up hope. She had no choice but to live on her own, hoping her family would find her. She lived in the forest for what seemed like years to her, but in actuality was only a few months. Although she knew how to survive off the land, being separated from her family threw Reena into a state of depression. She lost the will to survive by herself, and would eventually waste away if something was not done.

Eventually lady luck smiled upon Reena, as a passerby found her. He knew Reena was lost from her former life, and he knew that if he didn’t help her that an ill fate would befall her. So he decided to assist the young girl. Reena was wary of the man, but accepted his offer of help. She followed him to his home. There she lived under his watch. In return for shelter, she helped the man hunt for food. During their hunts, the man noticed Reena had exceptional strength and agility. He then made an important decision. He decided to make Reena his disciple and teach her the ways of martial arts.
